The title of this 1982 Los Angeles image is probably self-explanatory. That said, there were two primary impressions that drew me to capture this sight. First was simply finding a visual beauty in the geometries and symmetries exposed after the landscape worker had slashed these plants back with the passage of his weed whacker. The second was more visceral; an almost palpable sense that if these plants could vocalize that they would rage with an amputation scream of injury, outrage and insult.
